Natalia Fox

I had a great shoot with the excellent Natalia Fox recently. I used the Bowens flash heads’ modelling lights so that the low light levels would enable me to shoot at f2 on my 50mm lens. This has resulted in the lovely shallow depth-of-field that I was after, and that I think suits Natalia’s very vintage look.

Emilie Steps In

A late cancellation by a model recently left me without a model for an apartment-based lingerie shoot. With just a few hours to go before the shoot, I frantically put out castings and thankfully, my regular model and good mate, the beautiful Emilie Walt offered to step in despite this being outside her usual range of genres.

Neither I nor any of my group were in any doubt that Emilie had not only saved the day but had provided us with some beautiful images. Here’s one example…

I was giving someone some one-to-one Photoshop training a week or so ago and in order to demonstrate the versatility of the Layers function, I played around with a recent image of Rosa Brighid from the FotofiliaNude in the Urban Landscape” shoot, adding a texture that I downloaded from the brilliant “Skeletal Mess” a couple of years ago.
